Job Description: | She is responsible for the anthropometric measurements, registrations, admissions; follow up of medical and nutritional treatment and discharge of severely acute malnourished children in the TFU. Ensuring comprehensive medical examination, vital signs, frequent medicines and treatment according to the protocols. Following and adhering to the current protocols on drug administration i.e. antibiotics, antimalarial, anthelminthic, vit A, folic acid. Ensuring timely therapeutic milk/Food preparation and administering the appropriate feeds and medicines for the malnourished children in the TFU according to the standard protocols. Carrying out daily nutritional status monitoring of severely malnourished children as prescribed in the protocol. Preparing and updating the medical and nutritional record for ward rounds on a daily basis. Convening the ward rounds and updating on patient progress. Documenting medical orders and nutrition orders in the patient file and following properly. Keep a tally of all the beneficiaries admitted and discharged from the TFU (admission, cured, defaulters, death, transfer and referral) by age group and admission criterion used. Identified patients who need to be transfer to another phase or OTP, patient with failure to respond to treatment and patients who need to be discharged. Liaising with the health/nutrition promoters to provide effective follow up of default cases. Follow up of the weight gain of patients and feedback to the caregivers. Follow up of the hygiene and sanitation rules in the TFU and during treatment follow up. Any other tasks which will be assigned by line supervisor. She should work in close collaboration with the other health staff such as nurses, doctors, midwifes etc. |

Job Description: | The Backup Midwife will be responsible for providing midwifery technical assistance throughout providing midwifery care, monitoring, and evaluation of Family Health Houses. She will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a system for regular communication with community Midwives in FHHs to assist them in different aspects of midwifery care at the FHH level. Technical assistance will be provided by selecting existing up-to-date guidance documents that are appropriate for FHH’s programs and the development of additional guidance documents as needed. She will provide virtual and onsite technical assistance and assist with the FHH midwife from the Sub office. The Backup Midwife will collaborate closely work with FHH Midwives, and in case of Maternity leave, annual leave, or sick leave she will directly work in FHH to fill the gaps. Main duties and Responsibilities: Support the continuous quality improvement of integrated and stand-alone RMNCAH programs including service delivery in clinical and community-based settings. Contribute to the implementation of the RMNCAH -MoPH strategy at the facility and community-based settings. Capacity Building and Mentorship In collaboration with the RH Officer, establish and maintain regular communication with Community Midwives throughout the District’s FHHs through mechanisms such as direct assistance to FHH midwives in midwifery care. Review and disseminate key best practice guidelines documents and provide individual support to FHH Midwives. Using guidelines on ‘RMNCAH” and with support from the RH Officer for knowledge management and learning, organizing training materials, conducting capacity building of team members and community Midwives during field visits. Job Description: | The Technical Manager based in the main office has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling of the UNFPA humanitarian-funded project under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager to ensure quality management of the project in seven provinces of Afghanistan Key Accountabilities: Overall responsibility for technical management of the project in conjunction with other departments; Provide guidance in the implementation and monitoring of projects of a high quality that contribute to national and global objectives and ensure that underserved communities get the maximum benefit from all activities; Provide technical support, guidance, and quality assurance to the provincial team to ensure that the UNFPA project is achieving the results as aimed; Ensuring regular review of project progress is done and there is value for money, the implementation methodologies are cost-effective and in cost-effective approaches. Ensuring timely and accurate analysis of data and producing narrative reports to circulate to UNFPA; Assist and guide the provincial team in developing a feasible plan that achieves the goals and objectives of the project and aligns with the donor's overall objective; Ensuring regular contact with all relevant technical personnel PPHD and other stakeholders on the ground; Assist provincial coordinators and managers with grant management; developing and following up activity plans, and alert the program manager if any of the activity is not being accomplished according to the timeframe; Ensure transparency and accountability by sharing the project plan and the progress made with stakeholders at different levels; Be responsive to all communications on a timely basis through the proper channel; Supervise and mentor the provincial manager, coordinators and other relevant staff. Maintaining good working relations with key actors in MoPH; Attend RMNCH working group and health cluster meetings; Conduct at least one monitoring visit to one of the provinces in accordance main annual monitoring plan; Any other duties assigned by the supervisor. |
