Years of Experience:Five years’ experience in designing, implementing and evaluating thematic programs at the provincial hospital, BPHS health facility, and community levels.
Education:Graduate from a registered Midwifery Education Institution with a bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree in Public Health or relevant area is preferred)
Job Description:Implement the project activities in the province to ensure quality maternal and newborn care services at health facilities; Understand and materialize the Targeted Support Teams (TST) concept into action through joint planning and implementation with AFIAT staff, PPHO, and other technical officers; Support HQIP assessment of the HFs providing maternal and newborn care, including Family Planning; Conduct follow-up mentoring and coaching visits (four rounds per week) to provide capacity-building support to the midwives in providing maternal, newborn care and family planning services based on HQIP assessment; Develop a monthly work plan for the improvement of clinical and non-clinical weaknesses observed in the targeted HFs in coordination with AFIAT TST members; Implement the Quality Improvement program using the revised HQIP tool; Produce and submit timely monthly reports; Work with AFIAT Community Health Officers (CHO) to implement project activities in targeted health posts; Work with local communities to prepare them for the HQIP rapid assessment and follow-up TST visits at the community/HPs level; With support from AFIAT officers to introduce and implement the community Dialogue Plus (CD+), Electronic Community Health Accountability Monitoring Tools (e-CHAMT); Any other relevant activities deemed needed by the program.
Job Requirements:Graduate from a registered Midwifery Education Institution with a bachelor’s degree Master’s degree in Public Health or relevant area is preferred. Five years’ experience in designing, implementing and evaluating thematic programs at the provincial hospital, BPHS health facility, and community levels. Previous experience in community-based health care is a plus. Fluency in written and spoken local language; Having skills in computer applications such as Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word. Ability and willingness to travel to rural locations; Knowledge of local environments;
