    Project Title: Provision of Adequate and Preventive Life-Saving Nutritional Services to Children Under Five, Pregnant and Breastfeeding Women in High-Priority Districts of Herat

    Project Overview: This project aims to deliver essential nutritional services to vulnerable populations in high-priority districts of Herat, focusing on preventing malnutrition and improving health outcomes among young children and women of reproductive age.

    Objectives:

    • To provide essential nutrition interventions for children under five years old.
    • To support pregnant and breastfeeding women with targeted nutritional services.
    • To enhance the capacity of local health and community systems to sustain nutrition-related activities.

    Target Audience: Children under five years old, pregnant women, and breastfeeding women living in high-priority districts of Herat.

    Key Activities:

    • Distribution of nutritional supplements and ready-to-use therapeutic foods.
    • Conducting community awareness campaigns on nutrition and health.
    • Training local health workers and volunteers on nutrition screening and intervention.

    Timeline: Start Date: 15 May 2025 End Date: 14 May 2026
