The Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA) is proud to announce a major milestone in strengthening diagnostic services across its supported health facilities in Herat Province.
As part of the organization’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare, access to X-ray services had been a critical need at Guzra District Hospital and Shindand District Hospital in Herat Province.
AADA has successfully digitalized the X-ray machine at Guzra District Hospital, significantly enhancing the hospital’s diagnostic capacity and enabling faster, more accurate diagnosis for patients.
A portable X-ray machine, supported by UNICEF, has also been installed at Shindand District Hospital, expanding access to essential radiology services, particularly for emergency cases and patients with limited mobility.
The introduction of these modern diagnostic technologies will improve the quality and timeliness of patient care, reduce unnecessary referrals, and strengthen the capacity of health facilities to deliver comprehensive healthcare services closer to the communities they serve.
AADA extends its sincere appreciation to UNICEF and all partners for their continued collaboration in strengthening Afghanistan’s health system and improving access to life-saving healthcare services.
