Ghazni Sehatmandi Project

AADA implements the SHC services through one Provincial Hospital and 3 district hospitals and the PHC services are implemented in 105 HFs (4 CHC+, 22 CHCs, 35 BHCs, 43 PHCs, and 1 prison health clinic) and 847 HPs. Both the components are funded through WB/ARTF from Feb 2022 to June 2022. UNICEF contracted the Primary health care (PHC) and WHO contracted the secondary health care (SHC) component with AADA.  The PHC services is based on the Basic Package of Health Services guideline (BPHS) and the SHC services are in accordance with the EPHS (Essential Package of Health Services). During this project period, AADA was able to keep all the health facilities functional and supply the health facilities and health posts with the medicine, medical consumables, and logistic supplies. To build the capacity of staff the most essential training such as Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illnesses (IMNCI) training for MDs and Nurses, BEmOC training for FMDs and Midwives, EPI refresher training for vaccinators, Nutrition Refresher training, Rational Use of Medicine, First Aid and CAAC survey training have been conducted. The needed medical and non-medical equipment have been procured and supplied to HFs.  135 new motorbikes were procured and handed over to outreach vaccinators and Community Health Supervisors. One new land cruiser-type ambulance was provided for the Ghazni Sehatmandi project. In order to ensure the functionality of medical equipment AADA recruited on Biomedical Engineer. 62 HFs were renovated during this project period.  The M&E department of AADA conducted a monthly monitoring mission from the Sehatmandi projects and the action plans were strictly followed up,
