Noorullah Malang graduated from the Agriculture faculty of Kabul University in 1987. He started his career from admin officer, elevated to highest senior positions in international and national organizations like Save the Children, UNOPS, UNDP and Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA). In this journey he managed many national projects of which impact is visible in different parts of Afghanistan.
He worked as Admin/finance manager in Save the Children and then joined UNOPS to take over the management of some national projects in different capacities, as Project Manager for Afghan Conservation Corps, funded by USAID/USDA, National Project Manager for Enhancing Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response (EDPER) and Project Support Officer for Kabul University Project of UNOPS. He has worked with United Nations Development Program (UNDP) as Community Facilitator for Sustainable Resource Management Community of Practice where he has established the virtual Community of Practice in Afghanistan for the very first time to bring together national and international professionals and practitioners from different sectors of natural resource management sectors in Afghanistan. In this capacity, he facilitated the technical and professional dialogues at a high level for problem solving for ordinary members and policy dialogues for policy makers, and UNDP, to enable them to design their policies, guidelines and regulations based on the discussions.
