Dr Najeeb Baleegh
Dr. Mohammad Najeeb Baleegh is a public health expert working in Afghanistan since 2000. He obtained MD degree from Balkh Medical University in Mazar-e -Sharif In April 2000 and got his post graduate (Master of Public Health) degree from Jodhpur National University India in 2015. He has conducted several trainings on Monitoring and Evaluation, Health Management Information System, Rational Use of Drug, Managing Drug Supply, Management and leadership and also attended numerous short and medium courses in Epidemiology bio statistics and surveillance, Drug Study Survey, Result Based Financing, leadership, organizational development and communication inside Afghanistan and abroad.
He has 14 years of experience in international and national organizations in more than 10 provinces of Afghanistan. He has held positions of officer, chief officer and deputy project manager with Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA) in Northern provinces Regional Office, project manager for Basic Package of Health Services in USAID and World Bank funded provinces with Bakhtar Development Network (BDN), Technical Manager, Program Manager, Senior Program Manager, Monitoring Evaluation and Program Development Director and Program Director with Agency for Assistance and Development of Afghanistan (AADA).
He has extraordinary contribution for obtaining awards in the positions he held in different organization i.e. bonus by world bank for best performance, Quality Assurance awards granted for Bamyan province, and selection of Kunduz province HIV/AIDS program as model among eight provinces funded by Global Fund/GIZ. Developing standard tools for M&E department of AADA, contribution in developing AADA’s website, and development of AADA annual reports are among his achievements in 2013-2014. Currently, he serves as Program Director for AADA.
